UNIX disks are available through network browsing and/or mapped drive letters. All file types may be shared, including Windows data files, Windows applications, and user profiles. Shared file access with complete file and record locking. Windows long file names fully supported. Supports Windows drag & drop interface, including drag and drop between UNIX servers. Supports DOS net time command to allow PC clock synchronization with the UNIX server. And, this feature does not require any software to be installed on the PC! The FacetWin file service employs the industry standard CIFS (formerly SMB) protocol, which allows UNIX servers to use the networking system that comes standard in Windows.
