UTAPI (Universal Telephone Application Programming Interface) and NetTAPI (Network API) are easy-to-use, well defined protocols to allow customers to communicate with FacetPhone from their in-house application software. With UTAPI and NetTAPI, companies can tightly integrate their customer relationship management system with their FacetPhone system.

The UTAPI protocol allows these applications to dial a specific phone number, and to retrieve callerID information so that a database lookup ("screen pop") may be provided for the user. To find out more about how to use UTAPI with your software application, review the appropriate PDF file below:

The NetTAPI protocol provides for a more comprehensive interaction between FacetPhone and the software application. The NetTAPI commands allow for application program notification of any user phone activity, to initiate and terminate call recording, and to request the complete call detail record associated with a user's phone call. With FacetPhone's NetTAPI, customers and software providers can automatically put the entire call detail record, including the location of any recordings, in the corporate customer relationship management system.
